A loud snap and it was all over with. Two sharp pointed teeth penetrated the flesh and the warm liquid spilled over her tongue. The night was young still, and although the streets of Paris were filled with many people Abigail felt like she was the only one alive at the moment, and considering present company technically she was. When she pulled harder and nothing else came forth she dropped the body she'd been feeding on, a black scarf she carried in her pocket lightly dabbing at her ruby red lips. Her heels tapped against the pavement as she walked out of the alleyway, the shadows hiding her mess and the massive amounts of people hiding her. She slipped among them, a wolf in sheep's clothing and to them no different of special than themselves.
Tonight wasn't really any different, she'd been hungry yesterday to but that was no surprise. With age came wisdom, and being 300 wasn't a simple feat. That was a long time, and she had ways of covering up her tracks. A cigarette flared bright orange in her mouth as a loud moped drove by, honking angrily as she crossed a little too soon. She rolled her eyes and inhaled, the smoke barreling down her lungs. For such a loud and boisterous city Abigail found it extremely easy to get away with anything, mainly murder. She was a cliche of the Lord countess who'd had countless lovers and even more body counts. The world was her oyster, or at least Paris was, this part specifically. That meant she owned the place, and just as she turned down an empty street an unfamiliar sight passed right in front of her.
She'd nearly ran into the woman, and she'd instantly known. That too was a neat little trick picked up with age. She knew almost instantly when another vampire was near, and something younger than her was so sickeningly easy to pick up. She stopped walking as the woman strode past her and took another drag of her cigarette, blonde ponytail swaying as she shook her head. "Excuse me? Can I help you? She asked, attitude thick in her words along with her french accent. She thought it was a pretty general rule that, unless you could handle yourself, you didn't wander into another person's space. It was bad enough she had to contend with other supernaturals, let alone her own blood sucking kind. She sucked her teeth and stomped towards the woman, her long black boots clapping against the pavement.

Abigail scoffed at her painting, it wasn't her taste at all. "You didn't almost knock me down, lou-lou." She used, using lou-lou as a term for prissy or missy. The girl looked like a total wuss to her, but maybe that was just her inner vampire talking. She probably couldn't knock her down even if she tried, Abigail thought to herself as she stopped in front of her. Her eyes flashed to the cell phone the woman held and she grumbled, taking another long drag from her smoke as she crossed her arms and blew it out. "Maybe if you weren't so busy on your phone you might have seen me coming, little one." She added, her ruby lips puckering slightly when she finished.
The girl hadn't made move to attack or run, which made Abby think she didn't know what or who she was. Figures, a tourist would bump into her in this huge city of thousands of people. She looked her up and down, stopping briefly on her blue hair. "What are you doing here, and I mean besides buying ugly paintings." She said, flicking the ashes onto the cold, black top street next to the sidewalk.

Polite in the face of danger, how nice. Abigail threw the cigarette to the ground and promptly stomped on it, her heel grinding the tobacco into the pavement. She grimaced at the word 'meal' as soon as the tender meat had said it. Looking for a bite to eat on her side of town? Where exactly the hell did she expect to find it? She moved to the woman's side, trying to get a better angle of the supposed work of art. "You make crap like this? And SELL it to people?" She asked, mock disbelief on her face. "You're robbin' em' blind man." She joked, having grown up around countless decades and periods of art. It was just fun to play with the girl's emotions, provided her mean words hit a chord somewhere in her.
She ran her slender finger under her nose and sniffled, her icy blue eyes keeping a perfect gaze on the blue haired intruder. "I happen to own the finest resturaunts in town." She added, her voice just a light tone on the wind. The amount of people through the area had picked up, so she coated her words to the vampire in thick symbolism. She'd have to be a brick not to know what she was talking about for real. "So unless you've got something I've never seen tucked away under that skirt, or something to barter I'd go home." She said, her tone still slightly rude but not aggressive. She assumed this woman knew the rules, and if she didn't Abigail would read them to her, or worse.
She didn't spend 290 years as a vampire just to be walked all over by a tourist who paints pictures.

Abigail watched as the woman started to leave, but knew she wouldn't let her get far. Just because she's answered her didn't mean it was okay to walk around unattended, feeding on HER people, arranged or not. "And just who arranged it for you, sweetheart?" She called out after her, standing on her tippy toes as if it would help carry the sound. She almost didn't think the woman heard her so she added something for incentive to answer.
"I'll need to know so I can kill them when I'm done here." She called, curious as to who would be crazy enough to pimp out her meat and not even alert her, at the very least give her a cut. If lou-lou here wanted a taste of the finer things Paris had to offer to a vampire then she'd have to get her shit straight, which meant dealing with her. "If you tell me now, I won't tell them who ratted when I snap their neck, or necks if there's more."

Carina stopped dead in her tracks and turned around. Her eyes were starting to tint red around the edges. Either the woman just wanted a fight or she simply couldn't put two and two together. She wanted to go back to her hotel, drink her dinner and relax. She moved closer to the woman, taking in the smell of blood and smoke.
"You have no manners do you? My name, if you must call me something is Carina." She'd moved so many times across Europe, Asia and many other countries that a lot of her Luxembourg accent was washed away, but when she said her own name, the inflection came back. The mix of French, German and their own native tongue. She continued without a second's hesitation. "If you must know his name is James, he works at the hospital and is HUMAN. He arranged for me to have a...shall we say....frozen dinner while I'm here. God forbid I step on your combat boots."
Carina again turned from the woman, on the very edge of losing her temper. She didn't want to fight with a territory owner. She wasn't stupid. She knew the rules, despite not knowing who her sire was. A lot of things, she'd learned the hard way, but survival was the first thing she picked up on and fast.

Abigail frowned. Someone from the hospital was offering themselves up as a late night snack? She worked at the fucking hospital as a nurse, how had she not seen that? She was closer now, seemingly a little riled up that she was being questioned so harshly. Abby had every aspect of this woman she could grab under close scrutiny, and wasn't really enjoying any of what she saw. She scoffed lightly at the combat boots bit before placing her hand on her hip and keeping the other balled tightly into a little fist.
The name James didn't sound too familiar, but if she let his chick run around feeding on whoever she wanted then soon she wouldn't run across someone the girl hadn't fed off. That's when she stopped, the words 'frozen dinner' replaying in her mind like a foggy radio. She raised her brow and puffed out those ruby red lips as she spoke. "Is the guy a snowman or something?" She asked, confused on how a hot-blooded, flailing human could ever be considered frozen dinner. A deep smile spread across her lips as she thought more, her balled up fist now resting on her stomach as the laugh same sliding out of her like syrup.
"Oh god don't tell me. You don't feed live?" She spurted out, quickly glancing around to see if anyone passing by had heard her. They hadn't. Her brows ruffled and she laughed again, her ponytail bouncing happily as she rubbed a tear away from her eyelid. "Oh wow, that's fucking gross. Worse than that painting." She stabbed again.

Old twit, huh? She reached to her pocket, removing her cigarette case and with it another smoke. A lighter spark flashed between them and Abby took a deep drag, the smoke relaxing her tightening lungs. For someone so innocent looking this priss sure had a little mouth on her, Abby thought to herself as she let the woman's glare penetrate her own features. She shrugged. They were both creatures of the night, that much she could relate to. Everything else however was completely upside down between the two of them. "Just watching my back, priss." She hissed, her eyes narrowing and her lips parting to show two very sharp fangs hidden within. Time seemed to slow down between them, and no matter what they said or did the power Abby put off was more than enough to conceal them. To the outside human world, they weren't even there. An empty sidewalk resonated to them where the girls stood, and Abby found herself slightly wishing someone could see what she was about to do to this chick.
"Seems you were never taught to watch yours." She said as she vanished, a shimmering blur before she appeared behind the younger vampire, her cigarette slamming down onto her neck for a nice quick burn. It wouldn't hurt her, it probably didn't even really sting but it was still pleasurable to do. She smiled big now, her hand turning from side to side as she ground the simmering small ember into the girls neckline. Her other free hand moved quick, swatting the pathetic excuse for art out of her hand and onto the ground. If she didn't act fast Abbey would step on it, her sharp heel would tear the thin material that held the paint and it would be even more useless than she already thought it was.

Carina felt the power rolling around them. She'd been around long enough to learn a few things. What happened next she wasn't expecting. The woman disappeared and was behind her before she could even move. The feel of the ember against her skin was annoying, but not anything that really hurt her. She started to turn and move away from the woman, but then the painting went flying out of her hand.
That was it. Controller of the city or not. Enough was enough. Carina moved in a blur grabbing the painting off the ground and turning to face the other vamp at the same time. The painting didn't mean that much to her, but the respecting of other peoples belongings did. Carina looked down at the painting and back at the woman.
"I normally don't have to worry much about watching my back, because I don't act in a way that normally causes me to be attacked. I don't know what your problem is with me, but you can get the fuck over it!" Carina didn't curse. Not unless she was really mad. Her eyes were blazing red in anger. She swung the painting, not having anything else to use and smashed it against the other vampires head. The wood frame striking against her cheek.
Carina hadn't been blessed with a lot of powers when she'd been turned. She could change memories, she had the strength and the speed, but that was all she'd received. She stepped back, realizing her loss of temper was probably a mistake, but damn it'd felt good just to hit her upside the head.

The wood smashed against her face and turned her head. Something in her didn't actually think the girl would hit her. Her mistake. The pieces of wood splintered and fell to the ground, leaving a light pink blush on her otherwise colorless, pale cheek. It stung, and was amused by the fact the only thing the painting was good for was hitting people. She could really get into that kind of art, she thought as she glared at the woman. "Why don't we just get to the fucking source all ready?" She exclaimed, rubbing the place where she'd been slapped. "Race you there, priss." She called as she pointed up over a building top, the blinking red cross of the hospital visible about three miles away.
It was obvious whoever she was had a date tonight, with someone named James who worked at the hospital it seemed. Human or not, she wasn't going to let anyone feed from anywhere for free. She wiggled her fingers in a mock wave and leaped, her hands and feet clinging to the brick wall of the building like some kind of mutant spider. Light refracted off her blue eyes, shimmering them silver which was a common signature trait of the vampire. With another leap she scaled the wall and climber over, leaning back down over the edge to look at the woman. "James, right? Hope you're quick." She snickered as she sped off across the top of the building, her slender legs carrying her through the night while he nose tried to trace the scent of this woman on a human.
If she could find that, then she could find this 'James'.
