Neavyanya walked alone, gazing up at the peaks of the lofty mountains. a faint windfrom the peaks blew down, like a gentle lover, nad softly blew against her scaled cheeks, as if to kiss her lovingly. she looked down at the ground, looking at her talon clawed feet, observing the cold earth beneath her. the reprise of an eagle caused her eyes to snap to the sky, and a stream of fire to leave her mouth. "that was....strange. ive never been this way before. why am i suddenly filled with sorrow and awareness?" she thought to herself. she shrugged it off, and spread her wings, and launched into the skies. she flew high above the high peaks, until she saw a moubntain whose peak was gone, and a hole could be seen. closing her wings, she dived at 90 degrees and plummeted at breakneck spead into the darkness, her dragonic senses taking over, her eyes adjusting to the darkness. she spread her wing 20 fet above the cave floor, and slowly hovered down. once she reached the floor of the cave. she landed, and then, she sat down, closed her eyes, and began mdeitating.

Matira slowly walks towards the mountain, slightly chanting under her breathe. Her eyes slowly change to a light purple and she begins to float towards the mountains. Suddenly she saw a shape descend into one of the mountains. It looked like the others however, the top was missing and there was just a big hole. She tilts her heading slightly, her cloak spinning around her before slowly descending into the mountain after the curious creature. Matira quickly reaches the bottom of the mountain and lands not far from the dragonic creature and tilts her head. She slowly looks her over before sitting down on the ground and watches as she mediates, slowly regaining her strength herself.

"i smell you human. i could smel you when you were above the mountain. your perfume...it is sweet. like plums. your landing was light, but i still heard you." she opens her eyes, her bright orange eyes opened, and she focused on the human girl, standing before her. "you have a soft face. so full of life. which means that i cant do my job until your time." from a hollow in one of her pockets, she pulls out a small torch. lighting it with her fire breathe, she hands it tot he human. "what is your name?"

Matira slowly looks at her and smiles slightly despite her warnings to be serious. “One my dear, I am technically not human. I am an elf. And two, my name is Matira. And yours?” she uttered the words in her most serious tone, trying not to break into giggles. “Me, young?” She finally bursts into giggles before walking up to the mysterious creature and slowly holding out her hand. She chants slightly before a small flame appears in her hand and soon goes to join the torch, making it bright enough that it engulfs the whole cavern in light. “That’s much better.”

"oh? an elf? then, im sorry to have insulted you by calling you one of those lower life forms. i apologize. my name is Neyvanaeya." she looks at the torch. "i see you use magics. quaint." she said as nicely as she could muster, but her tone still cold and stabbing. "i am not a user of the magics. though, i can see their ebb and flow. they are strong with you. it will come in handy." she points towards an opening toa cave hallway. "im here to search for ruins of an ancient city, a city that was once ruled by an ancient and glorious people. will you come with me?" she says. she walks towards the atriuam, putting the torch in matira's hands, her strong eyes letting her see in the dark.

Matira looks at her slowly, her eyes quickly adjusting to the bright light before slowly nodding and getting into step with her. “Neyvanaeya, huh? Any nicknames?” Matira smiled before looking around scanning the area quickly for signs of enemies. “An ancient city? Ancient people? Will there be treasure?” She gazes ahead before looking back up at Neyvanaeya. ~This could be my chance to finish the hospital. To save the lives of those less fortunate.~ “Sure I’ll help you. Just lead the way.”

you may call me neya. if you wish. as for treasure, i dont know. though, i cant say that if we find any, it will be of much worth to traders. thnese people went extinct a long time ago, killed in a savage war fueled by hate and rage." though she tried to hide it, pain and rage escaped with her words. she looked ahead, and saw ahead a large archway. "matira, if you can, shine the light 4 meters above us, 3 meters ahead, at a 46 degree angle. i think you will want to see this." she loked at the archway again. it was pure gold. it was inscribed with something, but she didnt read it aloud. she held the words she understood within. "matira, im going to remove my mask. do not be freightened by my appearance." she removed the mask, and revealed her scaly face, her long hair. the slits that were her nose flared. "this place....i can smell the dust and death in the air."

Matira slowly blinks before nodding and following after Neya and smiles slightly to herself. She then frowned as she heard the pain in her voice before slowly holding her hand up and chanting under her breathe watching as the flame goes to where she directed. She gasps under her breathe before glancing at the archway curiously. "What is that?" She widens her eyes even more when Neya slowly removes her mask gazing at her thoughtfully.

"are you not freightened, by this creatures' face?" neya asked curiously. she looked away, and gazed up at the archway. "it says, 'here stands the last city, the proud city, Ilverania, our last hope for peace and life without sorrow. may all who enter this place, know of our triumphs and our failures, our trials and tribulations. within these walls, we leave our legacy.' neya choked up as she read aloud the last words, a tear running down her cheek. "what is this im feeling? why are there tears down my face?" she asked aloud, and internally.

Matira slowly turns and looks at Neya once more before smiling slightly. "Why should I be frigtened?" She slowly walks towards her and slowly wraps her arm around her gently. "It's quite natural to feel grief." She slowly wipes away a tear, her sympathy overrunning for the draonic female.

"what is......grief? and why am i feeling it?" she said, aloud, while thinking it. Neya walked forth into the deep abyss of the cave, until she and matira stood in a grand atrium, where there stood 4 torches made of gold, held by silver stands encrusted with gems. neya looks at the four torches, and she let loose a stream of fire gently from her mouth, lighting each torch. it was then a thunderous sound was heard from behind them, and two large stone doors slammed shut in the distance. they were now trapped in the city.
